The first recording of the films opening scene was successfully recorded after the second attempt of filming the scene. The characters were not showing an extensive amount of gestures during the footage, and they appear to have little movement in the scene, therefore we will not be using this footage.
\
During the wacky time scene (1:14-1:17) the character Arnie has been cut out of the footage, because the camera is positioned too high so that you cannot see the character head. It is important to keep the character fitting in the scene when he says wacky time, to keep the mood and so that we can see the other two characters in the background when they set off the party poppers.
The footage has a grainy texture which has been implemented purposely for this scene as it is supposed to look like a youtube video which the 3 pranksters have uploaded, this is why the quality has been made to look lower during the scene of the youtube video (whacky time.) The characters party popper did go off, (1:34-1:37) therefore this footage is not usable.
This footage did have all of the scene recorded correctly. However, this footage did not have enough high-key lighting, so it doesn't look as natural as it should for the daylight situation. The low-key lighting in the scene does reinforce the idea of the youtube video being seen as a threat, and for this reason it could be usable.
The characters in this footage did not seem as threatening as they should in the youtube video, however the high-lighting makes the protagonists stand out and it shows their authority and importance in the film trailer. The party popper did not go off in this scene so it would not be usable
This scene has too much low-key lighting which is preventing us from being able to see all of the protagonists as clearly as we would like to in this scene. We have a pan shot which is too slow to keep up with the characters who are running and the camera looses balance which makes it look un-steady. The wind can be heard quite loudly in this scene which would mean the audio would have to be removed making the scene lose verisimilitude.
This scene is too dark due to the low-key lighting which is in the footage. The footage would look much better if we could see the protagonists more clearly, and if the pan was smoother because it looks jolted. Also the vehicles which drive past during the footage makes us focus on them rather than the characters during this scene in the montage.
This footage is of him watching the Wacky time video with the video out of focus introducing the character of Daggers. It would have been used while the video is playing as an alternative angle. However this will not be used as his visitor badge is clearly shown here which would take away from the movie, would not make sense for a detective to have a visitor's badge in his office, and it generally looks unprofessional and bad.
This footage is of him watching the Wacky time video with the video in focus and not much emphasis on Erwin Daggers at all. It will be used while the video is playing as an alternative angle. However, while this will be used, the section of the video from 0:25 to 0:28 will not be used as somebody walks by which would ruin the scene. Daggers is meant to be alone. However the rest of the shot works.
This footage is of him watching the Wacky time video with the video in focus and no video of Daggers at all. This will not be used as there is a tripod in the shot that will ruin the scene and break the fourth wall in the trailer.
This footage will not be used as the actor did not speak his line and we pressed record accidentally.
This footage will not be used as the cameraman had implemented the pull focus too late, we wanted the effect of the pull focus being before he speaks his line.

This footage will not be used as the actor did not speak his line and we pressed record accidentally.
This footage will be used as while the framing is a little bit wrong and the sound may need to be heavily edited or rerecorded but overall the shot works.
This footage will be used before the analysis scene very quickly as this will be used for crosscutting.
This cut will be used before he explains he can't sort out the woman's situation.
This footage will not be used as the actor did not speak his line and we pressed record accidentally.
This will be used before the zoom as the zoom in the next clips adds a dramatic effect to the scene
This will be used as the zoom creates a dramatic effect.
This will be used when the Chocolate Dragons video is playing through cross cutting.
This will be used while Daggers is analysing the video of the chocolate dragons through cross cutting.
This will not be used as the powerpoint messed up since the zoom was missing.
This will not be used as the powerpoint messed up since the zoom was missing.
This footage will not be used as it was an accidental recording.
This will be used in the trailer as this is where Erwin Daggers is analysing the Chocolate Dragons video. This will be modified during editing to have sound effects.
This will not be in the final trailer as this was a recording where the cameraman accidentally pressed the record button without things being ready to record.
This will not be in the final trailer as the lighting was too low key which isn't an effect we wanted, the camera was more in the left than the centre, it was not zoomed in enough for what we wanted to go for.
This could possibly be used as the camera is in the centre, the use of depth of field is effective, and the walking seems to work, but we will not use this as the lighting is too low key compared to other recordings, the camera still seems to look more like it is in the left and you can not see Chip very well.
No this will not be used in the final trailer as the camera is obviously too much to the right, the walk seems a little bit too goofy here and the low key lighting is still present.
This could possibly be used as the camera is in the centre, the walk looks good without any characters overacting. However this will not be used in the final trailer as we still had the issue of lighting that looked too low key for our liking, especially when compared to later attempts of recording this.
This will not be used as this was an accidental recording attempt while the Cameraman (Joe) was trying to find the new lighting filter for the scene.

This will not be used as this was an accidental recording attempt while the Cameraman (Joe) was trying to find the new lighting filter for the scene.
This will be used in the final trailer as the camera is in the centre, the walk looks like it is acted correctly, the lighting is exactly right for what we were looking for as it is more high key without losing some of the grit that you would expect in a Warp Films production.
This will be used in the final trailer as the angle used alongside the camera movement allows for all the characters to be seen clearly and gives the sense of motion through how it somewhat follows the characters.
This will not be used in the final trailer as this was an accidental recording.
This will be used in the final trailer as the shot of the moving vehicles tells the audience that this is a living normal city, it tells the audience where the Dragons are walking to, it shows both the colourful clean side of the city and the gritty side as well.
This will not be used in the final trailer as this was an accidental recording by Joe while we were discussing things and setting things up for the scene.
This will not be used in the final trailer as we made a change to the scene so that Arnie would be the one grabbed and yelled at rather than Brandy. Also the camera is too far away for the impact this scene would have.
This will not be used in the final trailer as we made a change to the scene so that Arnie would be the one grabbed and yelled at rather than Brandy. Also the tone of voice was not correct for the impact we wanted to go for.
Yes this will be used in the final trailer as this has the camera close enough for the impact, Chip has a loud tone of voice creating an threatening vibe to his character, alongside how Arnie looks like he is struggling.
This will not be used as this was an accidental recording by the cameraman.
This will not be used as this was an recording by the cameraman done as a joke.
This footage will not be present in the finished trailer as the camera work was a bit shaky in comparison to the take we took after. Also we wouldn't want somebody in our trailer without permission.
This footage could be used in the finished trailer as nobody is filmed but the camera is still a bit too shaky for our liking.
This footage will not be in the finished trailer as the camera seems too much of at an angle which looks almost canted, something we did not want to go for.
This footage could be in the finished trailer as the camera doesn't seem to shaky in comparison to the previous scenes and nobody is being filmed, but there is a bit of a tumble in the middle of the video.
This footage will be in the finished trailer as the camera doesn't seem shaky and nobody is being filmed .
This will not be in the finished trailer as this was a part of a scrapped idea of a joke where Brandy drops his phone, while the footage recorded on the phone is what the establishing shot would be. This idea was dropped because we couldn't find a natural way for the phone to fall.
No. This was just James just playing around with the camera without knowing it was recording.

This will not be used. This was just James just playing around with the camera without knowing it was recording.
This will not be used as this was an attempt at recording the shot of them unconscious which would not be used as we came up with a humorous element where Brandy is resting his head on Chip's shoulder.
This will not be used because we came up with the idea of Brandy resting his head on Chip's shoulder for some extra humour.
This will be used as Brandy is resting his head on Chip's shoulder. However the only part of this that will be used is when the clip is out of focus. This is because Chip's hand change position in the next clip, so to avoid inconsistency we will make sure this clip will keep out of focus so you cannot notice this slight inconsistency.
This will be used in the final trailer (aside from when Ken said "go" and when James started laughing obviously)
